Archived notes disappear from the active list but remain visible through search and direct links.
The bug report
You get the whole project — a React front end, an Express API, and Mongoose models — opened in a browser editor. Reproduce the symptom by reading the code, change what’s wrong, and run the hidden tests to prove it.
What the fix must prove
- creates a private note and reads back its saved fields
- hides an archived note from active list, title search, and direct read
- restores an archived note to all active read paths
- keeps another editor out of lists, links, and transitions
- rejects invalid note and search input without creating a record
- requires authentication and leaves notes unchanged after rejected requests
- rejects repeated archive or restore while preserving the saved state
